Philippines Bound

So I’ll be leaving for the Philippines at 10 p.m. I’m excited, anxious, nervous and scared…but I know God has a plan and has control over everything. During my stay in the Philippines, I’ll try to keep a blog and update you all on whats going on out there. Mario already told me what I’ll be doing for the first week, which will be teaching high schoolers with another American intern. We will be sharing our testimonies and sharing the worldless book with them for an hour each class. There are 32 classes in the school, So we will be teaching them from morning to 8:50p.m.! because they have night classes as a result of the large population in the school and lack of room and teachers. I will need lots and lots of prayer as my first week will be packed and tiring, but at the same time there will be so many opportunities for the Holy Spirit to be working in these kids lives.

So please pray for me as I travel alone, and for my safety. and that God would speak through me. For my humility. and that I would stay focused on the task in hand and fully trust on God for all my problems and fears.

For the kids, that they will have open hearts for the Gospel.

and for CEF and its leaders and volunteers.

2 Timothy 1:6-10

6 This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

8 So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. 9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 10 And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News.
